If you could pick an education for your child, what would you choose?
Would you choose an ideal class size?
Would you choose standardized testing?
Would you choose a customized curriculum?

The only place these choices are available to the public is in private education.
We believe that there is no ideal class size; that each child should learn at their own pace. In our learning centres each child has office space of their own with monitors and supervisors to oversee their progress.
We believe that standardization does not take into account the individual nature of every human being. If you choose our individualised curriculum you will be buying into a system that is used globally in 80 countries around the world.
The Curriculum we teach is the Accelerated Christian Education which leads to the National Christian Schools Certificate (a credit based merit system that is accepted for entry to nearly every university in the country).
So what do we teach?

There are five core subjects that all students must study; English, Social Studies, Etymology (or Word Building), Science and the ubiquitous Maths. Students can choose from a series of elective subjects to add to their daily PACE work. Each school day students set their goals and plan their schedule dependant on any tests they have to complete and group activities that need to happen.
The Academy has an honour roll encouraging academic excellence and weekly privilege that brings actual rewards for good behaviour. Students score their own work which encourages and delops an environment of trust and responsibility. Supervisors and monitors oversee and check that this trust is not abused.
Each section of work cross references with other subjects and carries a personal character trait of Jesus our greatest role model.

So why the emphasis on Jesus?
The Beehive school and the Phoenix Academy are initiatives of the Rainbow Church who have been running a school for twenty three years in North London. This is Christian education. We believe that Jesus is the ultimate role model for humanity and his character and all that he said have the utmost importance for the way in which we live our lives today.

Children need to know how good God is. Proverbs 22:6 says “Educate a child according to his life requirements; even when he is old he will not veer from it.” As Christians we believe that Jesus and the Bible are central to an understanding of this world and our lives.

Are we serious?

Not everyone will agree with our philosophy or our world view but we hope they will agree with our results. We take students failing in the state sector some find their ideal learning environment and turn into A grade students. We have helped many students find university places.

We are registered with the Department of Education Services who inspect and monitor all independent schools in the country. Our curriculum is bought through Christian Education Europe. Our church is registered with the Evangelical Alliance and part of the Pioneer network. The National Christian Schools Certificate is recognised and accepted for entry to Oxford, Cambridge and almost all of the universities of Great Britain.

Surely private education is only for the rich?

Part of the reason for our relatively low fees compared to other establishments offering private education is that we want our schools to be open to all. The academy is therefore heavily subsidised by Rainbow Churches. We believe that the education of our children is of primary importance in the building of society. If you educate your children with us their teenage years will be rich indeed.
